Faustino G

Faustino G has drawn attention at the 2026 WFBSH World Breeding YH Championships. Winner of the 6yo round one, he was a picture of uphill elegance, extremely modern, and looked to have good ride ability and perspective.

What does his pedigree tell us?

In five generations we can see a substantial amount of Donnerhall, 5x4x5x5 via two daughters and two sons. Farrell himself has three of the crosses, with the dam Shanti G adding one. Wolkenstein II is also seen via two daughters – a nice filly factor. Taking the pedigree out one more generation reveals a further connection in the 3/4 brothers Davignon I and Don Schufro, both by Donnerhall out of Pik Bube I mares. While its not highlighted, you can see a Woermann daughter on the tail female line of Farrell which is also a good balance to the duplication of Woermann sons in the two appearances of World Cup I.

There is also a pinch of Trakehner in both the sire and dam sides, probably adding to the refinement and elegance.

This pedigree is a good demonstration of pedigree connections as well as filly factors and balancing, and yet another example of a top horse with a good pedigree behind it.
