Weihe’s Happiness

Weihe’s Happiness is competing at the 5 yo at the WBFSH Breeding Championships Young Horses and came 3rd in the first round. Wiehe’s Happiness is a super athletic competitor and a grand daughter of world champion mare Weihegold ridden by Isabel Werth. She was bred by Christine Arns-Krogmann, who is emerging as a very successful breeder of international dressage horses. All those connected to this horse are extremely excited for her future, and rightly so. She is ridden by Alina Schneider.

Her pedigree shows a pattern that seems to be emerging in recent times, with either double Don Schufro or double Sir Donnerhall or both. This of course of necessitates bringing along more Donnerhall and Sandro Hit.

Sir Donnerhall can be seen at 3 x 2 through two daughters. Daughters of a sire are a filly factor and are very powerful for mares in this position both in performance and breeding.

Donnerhall can be seen at 5 x 4 x 4 sex balanced.

Sandro Hit is at 4 x 3 x 4 and thanks to the daughter line on the 4th he is also sex balanced.

These ancestors form the same pattern each side of the pedigree which dramatically increases the likelihood of them being inherited together, especially as they already share genetic affinities.

Their duplications are occurring very close up, in inbred positions and in the engine room of the pedigree, and these tight gene groupings will lead to a very good breeding career.

The top half and bottom quadrant of Dynamic Dream brings a fresh influx of Dutch and Holstein blood to act as an outcross to the tight gene clusters on the dam side.

It provides an effective example of one of the ways to breed with Dynamic Dream and connect to his power lines, in producing a good horse.
